About Us

Standing Tall for Wyoming's Working Families Since 1965

For nearly six decades, we've stood shoulder to shoulder across Wyoming's rugged landscape, fighting for the dignity, safety, and fair treatment every worker deserves. The Wyoming State AFL-CIO isn't just an organization—we're 6,000+ neighbors, friends, and family members from over 60 labor unions who understand that true independence comes from having the power to provide for our families through honest work and fair compensation.

In the wind-swept halls of the Wyoming legislature, throughout our tight-knit communities, and on job sites from Cheyenne to Cody, we stand united by the Code of the West: hard work deserves fair reward. Every day, we fight to ensure all Wyoming workers earn wages that support their families, work in conditions that respect their safety and dignity, and can look forward to retirements that honor their years of contribution to our state's prosperity.

Our strength comes from our unity. We work hand in hand with 8,000 additional union members across Wyoming, combining the rugged individualism that defines our state with the unshakable power of standing together when challenges arise.

Whether you're a third-generation coal miner, a healthcare worker in Rock Springs, or a teacher in Laramie, your voice matters in our movement. If you're interested in joining or forming a union to protect what matters most to you and your family, reach out to us today.

In Wyoming, we build strength that withstands any storm—together.
